Really nice,... so for me as a non-mechanic person, it now seems to be relatively "easy" to do such an engine swap?


Where did you get the LED Tail light from? Custom made?

It is an easy swap. A Toyota garage could do it in 2,5 days (but then you don't have a cleaned and waxed engine bay and al the extra stuf as new bolts, etc.).
You only have to buy a wrecked T-sport somewhere

Yes, just took the T-sport speedometer, plugged on the wires and everything was fine.
I didn't have to do any electrical stuff

The best way is to buy a crashed TS with a running engine. Speedometer incl.

Rear suspension parts coated

As many of you know I've swapped my 1ZZ for a 2ZZ engine from a wrecked T-sport I bought. After reading Dan's (hombredelassrta) post from Newcelica.org about powdercoating his rear suspension I got the idea to do the same!
I think Dan's car inspires us all with his über modded celica!

So I took the rear suspension parts of the wrecked T-sport and had it sandblasted and coated. I wanted to galvanize it but the parts contain some rubber inserts and that doesn't go well together. Galvanizing is the best surface treatment against corrosion.
I'm still wondering if powdercoating (as is done with Dan's parts) isn't a problem with the rubber inserts.

The parts are painted gloss black. I hope they stay nice for a long time.

frag hier auch noch nach wie schaut es eigentlich aus, wenn man sich für den swap ne rechtslenker celi holt? wäre das theoretisch möglich von gb oder so ne rechtslenker celi zu kaufen oder is das nicht möglich?

hmm falls das kein problem sein sollte ... wie schauts eigentlich mit dem motor aus? is der komplett gleich wie in d/ö oder gibts da unterschiede? (in amerika is ja glaub ich ein bissl anders)

die EU-Spec müssten alle gleich sein, soweit ich weiß.
die US-Spec haben eine andere Abgasanlage, Steuergerät soll anders sein und die Einspritzdüsen(jedenfalls streuen die extrem nach unten und sind auch nur mit 180, statt 192PS, angegeben)...die meisten haben so zwischen 155 und 170HP...(wobei HP auch noch in PS umgerechent werden muss...ist kein großer unterschied)

jup! und die GT sind mit 130hp angegeben... kein wunder das die fast alle duelle
verlieren

You need the following parts:
- 2ZZ Engine
- 2ZZ ECU or PFC
- 2ZZ header
- 2ZZ Midpipe (with cat and resonator)
- Passanger side engine mount
- Throttle cable
- 2ZZ stock airbox or an aftermarket CAI or SRI.

its there any chance to use my 1zz Tachometer ?
are the inputs in the back the same or won´t the engine
starts without a 2zz Tacho ?

i need a header and an airbox and a ECU
Just opend my damaged 2zz.... i will rebuild it !
